Church End

Location: Neasden, Brent, London

Identified as one of LB Brent's key growth areas, Church End located in Neasden, presents a local centre which has been in recent decline due to lack of investment. The regular local open market, although popular, takes place within a car park behind the high street and poses health and safety risks. Working directly with Brent Council's regeneration team, a residential scheme of 34 homes with a ground floor enterprise space was developed to kick-start regeneration of the area.

The new development includes a new public square - a new flexible public space to house 50 market stalls. New stall structures were also designed along with associated storage space and toilet facilities for existing stall holders. Residential units are designed to Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4. Residents are provided with a both private and communal garden space to the rear of the building.
